This Privacy Policy describes how Aye Aye Cornwall ("we", "us", or "our") handles data when you use the A Smuggler's Tale Falmouth Edition mobile application (the "App").
A Smuggler's Tale Falmouth Edition is a location-based treasure hunt. The App requires access to your device's GPS location (either "When In Use" or "Always On") to trigger game events, unlock locations, and guide you along the A Smuggler's Tale trail.
Strictly Local Processing: Your location data is processed locally on your device. We do not transmit your live location to our servers, nor do we record, store, or track your physical movements.
When you complete the adventure, you have the option to submit your score to the global Free Trader Leaderboard. If you choose to do so, the App will transmit and store the following data on our secure servers:
We advise users not to use personally identifiable information (such as full real names) as their smuggler name, as this leaderboard is publicly visible to other players of the App.
We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personally identifiable information (PII) to play the game.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
